Jody Aaron Friedman is an award-winning songwriter/producer, music supervisor, music publisher, and music licensing coach.

His career began working for CNN in Atlanta, NYC & California. While working as an Audio Operator, he composed a theme song in 2004 for the show “Nancy Grace” which was his foray into the world of Music Publishing.
Since then, his company, HD Music Now, has grown become a well respected licensing & supervision company, licensing their catalog since 2006 with over 10,000 placements, having collaborated with and become a go-to resource for major film studios, advertising agencies, trailer houses and television networks.
His companies, HD Music Now, Collaborate Music & Ocho Music Group have worked in a variety of capacities with the major film studios, advertising agencies, trailer houses and television networks. His music supervision & clearance projects include projects such as defining the sonic branding for ASICS Shoes, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor (Focus Features)”, “Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner” (Netflix), “Ugly Delicious“ (Netflix), “Outer Banks” (Netflix), “Velma” (HBO Max)", “Barry” (HBO), “Fleischman is in Trouble” (Hulu), “Generation” (HBO Max)", “Strangers, Season One” (Facebook Watch), “Trinkets” (Netflix)”, “Ingress: The Animation” (Netflix + Fuji TV), “They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead” (Tremolo Productions + Netflix) & more. He is an active member of the Guild of Music Supervisors.
Jody writes & produces for trailers & ads through his company, Collaborate Music. He’s written and/or produced music for trailer campaigns such as “Picard” (CBS) and “Fantasy Island” (SONY), “Big Sky” (ABC), ”The Handmaid's Tale” (Hulu), Eli Roth’s feature film, “Haunt”, in the tv shows such as Ray Donovan (Showtime), Victorious (Nickelodeon), Outcast (Cinemax) & many more.
A recording artist in his own right, his 2018 single, “My Sweet Home” was co-produced with Sean O’Brien (The National, Maxim Ludwig) & is available on Itunes, Amazon & Spotify.
2015’s ”Memory Box" EP is reminiscent of Ryan Adams, Cat Stevens, Dave Matthews and The Jayhawks. It was recorded in Nashville, TN, and produced by multi-platinum songwriter/producer, Kenny Lamb (Barrett Baber, N'Sync, Jason Aldean, Ashley Monroe). It showcases his strength as a songwriter and features collaborations with hit songwriters.
2013's "Rivers EP" was produced by Grammy winning Multi-Platinum producer Scott Mathews (Beach Boys, Zac Brown, and Johnny Cash).
Originally from Safety Harbor, Florida, Jody resides in Southern California and travels regularly to Nashville, where he has co-written songs with such talented songwriters as Jason Matthews (Luke Bryan, Trace Adkins), Marty Dodson (Big & Rich, Blake Shelton), Kris Bergsnes (Tyler Farr, Tim McGraw), Rebecca Lynn Howard (Reba McEntire, Martina McBride) and many more.
