Music and film are my two lifelong passions. I've been marrying music to film in one way or another for most of my life. Little did I know it would be possible to make a living doing what I do. The music is meant to provide the drumline to make your picture that much better - we understand that and we are very good at what we do. Over the past several years, we have garnered relationships in the music industry, and obtained clearances from major to indie labels, publishers, artists, and bands.
HD MUSIC NOW offers a full service music supervision and consultancy firm for all types of media (film, tv, commercials, video games, advertising, internet, soundtracks, etc...)
Our services include:
- clearing affordable songs from today's best artists and labels. We can estimate the costs of your proposed music uses prior to contacting any rightsholders. We will work with you to develop an overall music licensing strategy to get the music you need within the confines of your budget. We will research copyright ownership for any song, and negotiate licenses for both synchronization and master recording rights.
- using our extensive recording industry ties to commission original music for use in your project
- organizing and overseeing music editing
- preparing music cue sheets, and filing them with the appropriate societies
I am a music supervisor and music publisher by trade. I worked (and still do on occasion) in television, having spent eight years working at CNN, and having freelanced at all of the major networks (Good Morning America, MTV/CBS, Access Hollywood), and many other cable stations too. Along the way, I've been writing, playing (guitar), and performing music, and learning all I can learn about the music business. In 2004, I started my own music publishing company in NYC (HD MUSIC NOW), and since relocating to Orange County in 2006, I have been building up my business and connecting and meeting with music supervisors, producers, and other creatives in the biz.
